We welcome applicants with a full Category D PCV licence and Driver CPC qualification, as well as experienced bus and coach drivers from all backgrounds. If you have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply. Previous experience driving coaches and the ability to navigate different types of roads, from country lanes to motorways, would be a plus. The school will pay for one CPC course per year. Your main responsibilities will include driving school vehicles in compliance with legal requirements and GSAL Transport procedures, including: reporting any faults or failures promptly; use of a tachograph when appropriate; ensuring that all fare collecting equipment is operational and working effectively, should cover be required on a school bus route; reporting incidents promptly to the general manager; keeping the vehicle clean and tidy at all times. Hours: Monday-Friday 42 hours per week (term time) plus 20 days, on a three-week shift pattern, two weeks of 33 hours and one week of 60 hours, some Saturdays included on a rota basis.
