Full Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive hair and beauty lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Provide hands-on instruction in hair cutting, styling, colouring, skincare, makeup application, and other beauty treatments.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.
- Organise and supervise practical assessments and examinations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). - Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience working with SEN students is highly preferred.
