Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our Handyperson team. The Handyperson service provides a range of small repairs, examples include; basic plumbing, assembling flat pack furniture, putting up/shelves/blinds/curtain rails, fitting key safes, fixing broken or loose fixtures or fittings, fitting locks. The service is provided for customers who live in the London Borough of Camden. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Saturday and out of hours on call on Sundays on a rota. You will mainly work alone, however there will be occasions when 2 operatives will be required to undertake work, eg, moving furniture. Operatives will be responsible for their time management, making initial contact with customers to arrange appointments and planning their journeys to ensure value for money is delivered. Van and tools are provided. This role requires a full UK driving licence.
The ideal candidate will be organised, able to provide accurate records of jobs completed, mileage records and time sheets. Experience of delivering repairs and handyperson tasks is required, an established trade background and experience of working with vulnerable people would be desirable. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and customer service skills. A good standard of IT skills is required. It is also essential that you have a full UK driving licence. Experience of working with vulnerable people would be desirable, but not essential. We would particularly welcome applications from women.
