Full Job Description

In your new role, you will oversee and manage the maintenance, repair, small works, and compliance function for our Local Authority client. The Hard FM service consists of delivery of a planned and reactive maintenance service in accordance with key performance indicators and quality standards. You will have line management responsibility for a small team consisting of Planners/Schedulers, Small Works Manager, Asbestos Manager and FM Administrator, and responsibility for managing delivery through specialist subcontractors. Responsibilities include:

  • To manage the delivery of maintenance activity including reactive, planned ,and small works throughout the assigned geographical region across multiple diverse client sites.
  • Ensure delivery of a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
  • To oversee responsibility for the management of Asbestos.
  • To act as Responsible Person for statutory compliance and L8.
  • Provide guidance, advice, support, post incident reviews, audit management, resource optimisation, and benchmarking services covering all aspects of M&E.

    Thorough working knowledge of one relevant functional area through significant job experience & training.
  • Significant experience in a relevant business or industry, and/or be a fully qualified professional with solid Higher-Level Qualifications.
  • Track record of success in supporting a contract and/or providing support to a professional function
  • In-depth understanding of statutory maintenance requirements/regulations.
  • Strong people leader
  • Good communication skills
  • IOSH/NEBOSH preferred
