Full Job Description
- Develop specifications for electronic products, assemblies, and parts.
- Design, integrate, document, and release to production new wireless fire detection products, including panels, sensors, wireless communication devices, user interfaces, etc.
- Show flexibility by performing various engineering tasks and working on projects to support the team including new product development, sustaining engineering, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate existing technologies into new product designs.
- Propose and design new and improved electronic products.
- Plan and perform tests to ensure that products achieve performance and reliability goal.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance providing all the required information and documentation.
- Resolve design and component related production and sustaining engineering problems.
- Initiate changes to optimize product designs to improve production throughput and quality performance.
- Redesign circuits when necessary to solve obsolescence problems.
- Analyze field performance and reliability problems recommending and initiating appropriate changes.
- Analyzes equipment and conducts experimental tests to establish operating data.

- Performs engineering duties including manufacturing planning and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus to ensure that projects are completed on-time and as per the defined goals.
- Determines material and equipment needs and orders supplies to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
- Develops or performs operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
- Manage activities for the manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, or systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepares, reviews, or maintains maintenance schedules, design documentation, or operational reports and charts to ensure that progress and performance can be tracked.
- Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption.
- Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
- Designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices.
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience. - Practical knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
