Full Job Description

Our hardware teams are at the cutting-edge of our technology engineering business. From the design and manufacture of the most state-of-the-art products in the business, to their delivery into our multi-million pound Customer Fulfillment Centres (CFCs) across the globe, our bespoke electrical and mechanical development projects are pushing the boundaries of innovation and automation. Within these teams sit the Grid Development function, which is responsible for the design, testing and manufacture of our automated products relating to our Grid and its storage and safety functionality. The Bot Hardware Development function, which is responsible for the design, testing and manufacture of our automated products relating to our Bots. We are looking for hardware (Mechanical and Electrical Design) interns who will be responsible for the design of automation equipment systems, sub-systems and components. You may be involved at any stage from translating requirements, through concept generation, detail design, manufacturer support to design updates and enhancements. What would I be doing?

  • Bring a fresh outlook on smaller business projects that require attention
  • Apply own knowledge and experience to existing Ocado Tech projects
  • Approach the project collaboratively
  • Work with and experience different tech stacks to develop skills
