Full Job Description

We are looking for someone to work as part of the Harm Reduction Social Support Team providing substance users within Forward Leeds and the wider community with an accessible, efficient, and compassionate service. This includes working with people that are drinking alcohol at harmful levels. You will support and advocate on their behalf, ensuring as far as possible their health and social needs are met. You will work closely with other agencies and be proactive in establishing links with new partners., As part of the Harm Reduction Social Support Team you will provides assertive outreach to drug and alcohol users across Leeds and work with all partners attached to Forward Leeds and external services. You will provide enhanced social support such as housing, benefits and wrap around provision., Provide an effective needle syringe provision, ensuring clients receive effective specialist harm reduction advice and equipment appropriate to their drug use.
Provide overdose information and advice and train service users in the use of Naloxone.
Provide clients with in-depth specialist safer injecting advice and advice about the harms caused by alcohol.
