Full Job Description

We are looking for a strong candidate who will be responsible for managing the payment of invoices in a timely way to relevant care and support service providers, Direct Payment users and other parties, ensuring any discrepancies are appropriately investigated before seeking authorisation to pay. Optimise income to the Department by ensuring accurate invoicing to individuals for their contribution to care and support costs, as well as invoicing individuals and organisations for other services, arranging credit notes once checked are needed, arrange for overpayments to be refunded.

The right person will work closely with service users, relatives, care providers, assessing officers, social workers, nurses and other health and care professionals.

Royal Greenwich Commissioning are looking for a skilled and experienced Health and Adult Services Finance Officer to join their Personalised Care & Support and HAS Financial Services.

The right candidate will have good knowledge of health and social care systems and understanding of how care services are commissioned and provided, have strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public when offering advice and strong digital processing skills using a variety of software applications and ability to work effectively across complex systems.
