Full Job Description

We are excited to advertise this permanent role, which is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated manager to lead our North Mental Health and Wellness Team as their Operational Lead.

Come and lead one of our integrated Mental Health & Wellness Teams in Havering. Join our recently transformed mental health service that is at the front line of mental health support, undertaking assessments, and providing brief intervention work and longer-term CPA work for our service users. The new Mental Health and Wellness Teams removes the need for a two-tier service, with no more hand over of service users from one service to another.

You will be accountable for the day to day delivery of the service, with a focus on service user satisfaction, service quality, governance, risk, and care management, all of which will should be underpinned by compassionate leadership., 1. Provide leadership and line management for senior clinicians and practitioners within the Havering North Mental Health & Wellness Team. This will include day-today guidance and support to the team, management supervision, performance management, and monitoring service delivery
2. To use databases to produce reports / statistics / performance data / flow rates and data on clinical outcomes for the Havering leadership team as required.
3. To conduct agreed service research and generate appropriate reports and audits on RiO and trust databases to ensure user standards are delivered.
4. To work with the Assistant Integrated Care Director and Senior Leadership Team to establish the appropriate future direction of the service.
5. To ensure practice development plans include mental health and support and audit the implementation of these plans.
6. To ensure service users and carers are fully engaged in the development and delivery of mental health services.
7. To ensure that trends in need, service use and unmet needs are collated and conveyed to the relevant parties and to work with the service to develop strategies to meet address any unmet need.
8. To chair both clinical and managerial meetings providing clinical/practice and managerial expertise into these meetings.
9. To develop and maintain effective partnerships between the service staff, local authority teams and partner agencies.
10. To manage the service budget for the North Mental Health & Wellness Team.

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
