Full Job Description

Homefield is an outstanding independent day school for around 300 boys aged 4 to 13 years. The School nurtures a happy and safe environment that, alongside a depth of specialist teaching, ensures the fulfilment of each boy's individual potential. Homefield is proudly a diverse school that both reflects and supports its place as a charity within the wider community of South London.

The School is dedicated to offering an education that goes beyond academic success. The staff strive to cultivate character, compassion, and resilience, ensuring that Homefield boys not only excel in their studies but also grow into well-rounded individuals who are equipped to make a positive impact on the world. Guided by the ethos of "hearts, heads, and hands," the School prioritises the emotional, social, and intellectual development of all students, fostering a love of learning and a strong sense of moral responsibility. Boys leave Homefield confident, articulate, motivated by learning, eager, kind and equipped to make the world a better place with many going on to a wide range of renowned independent and grammar schools.

Developments have included a new classroom block, Performance Hall, Dining Room and Kitchen, all-weather sports pitch, additional music facilities, a STEAM/Computing suite and a Library Hub.

The successful candidate will demonstrate alignment with the School's educational aims and values, have the desire to nurture its strengths and clearly articulate these in the vibrant and highly competitive local marketplace. The new Head will have first-class communication skills alongside a proven ability to engage with, inspire and lead the whole school community with a collaborative and empowering approach. This person will also have the strategic skills and flexible mindset to drive the School forward to ensure it continues to thrive in challenging market conditions.
