We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and uphold the high standards that Parker's is celebrated for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain a collaborative and motivating environment, encouraging team development and excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, production, and presentation, ensuring consistency with Parker's high standards.
- Menu Development:
- Innovate and curate menu offerings that reflect Parker's commitment to high-quality, diverse, and internationally inspired cuisine.
- Regularly update and refine menus to incorporate seasonal ingredients, current food trends, and guest preferences while retaining the brand's signature dishes, such as the Matilda Chocolate Cake and Royal Benedict.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new concepts and menu items that enhance the dining experience.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets Parker's stringent quality and presentation standards.
- Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant health regulations.
- Oversee the procurement of high-quality ingredients, negotiating with suppliers for the best products at competitive prices.
- Financial Management:
- Manage kitchen budgets, including food costs, labor costs, and kitchen supplies, ensuring profitability while maintaining high standards.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and reduce waste without compromising on quality.
- Guest Experience:
- Engage with guests, when necessary, to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback to continuously improve the culinary offerings.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for all guests.
Experience: - A minimum of 10 years of culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a fine dining or luxury restaurant.
- Proven track record of managing a successful kitchen team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Exceptional culinary skills with a deep understanding of international cuisines, including the ability to create innovative dishes that appeal to a diverse clientele.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
- Education:
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Food Safety and HACCP certification.
