Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Head Chefs. We are looking to recruit hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to join our Catering Team. One based at Kendray Hospital and one based at Fieldhead Hospital.

The successful post holders will use flair and creativity to create new menus. You will assist the catering department to reach its full potential by developing new systems of work.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and you will be able to use your initiative to prioritise and organise daily duties.

Main duties of the job

You will assist with managing the team to provide safe and nutritious meal service to service users, staff and visitors.

You will be responsible for training, mentoring and the reallocation of rotas when required.

We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
