Are you a passionate and qualified Chef looking for a rewarding role where you can work with fresh seasonal food and make a real difference in people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to join our team at Hallmark Care Homes, where quality of care is at the heart of everything we do.
As a Head Chef, you'll have the opportunity to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You'll have full autonomy in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored around our residents' preferences. Working with fresh produce, you'll cook high-quality and wholesome dishes, ensuring that every meal is cooked to the highest standards.
Your Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Tailor menus around residents' preferences and ensure person-centred hospitality.
Culinary Excellence: Work with fresh produce to create high-quality and wholesome dishes that meet our residents' dietary needs.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, inspire, and develop a team of culinary professionals.
Budget Management: Work within budget constraints while maintaining high standards of food quality.
Audits and Stock Control: Complete regular audits and manage stock control to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Personable and Warm: You have a genuine interest in the well-being of our residents and create a warm and welcoming environment.
Qualifications: Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualifications in culinary arts.
Leadership Experience: Experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a culinary team.
Nutrition Knowledge: A good understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
Culinary Skills: Experience working with fresh seasonal food and creating appetising and nutritious menus.
HACCP: Good understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
