Full Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to join our highly committed catering team as a head cook/supervisor in a vibrant and highly successful school with a distinct international ethos.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced cook to lead in the preparation and cooking of food to a high standard, following menus and recipes agreed. The successful candidate will need to have experience of the preparation, cooking and service of food and demonstrate a real passion for producing food and service of a high quality.

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, health and safety is a prerequisite of the position and is of the highest level of importance to the school.

The school is diverse and welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds who are interested in providing high quality, healthy and balanced and varied food for our students and staff. The school offers 8 languages on its curriculum and the celebration of different cultures, languages and traditions is central to its international programme which includes introducing students to food from around the world. It also takes its responsibility for promoting healthy, balanced diets seriously in line with its Healthy Schools status.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:45-15:15

35 hours per week

Term time only plus 3 Training days

Salary: Scale 4 Point 7 - £20,033.75 per annum (actual gross salary)

Pay progression based on annual performance management.
