purpose of the Head Housekeeper role is to provide first class housekeeping services to Loveday Members and to ensure all areas of Loveday Homes are clean, ordered and maintained according to the Loveday Way of delivering outstanding levels of service in hospitality operations. You will lead all areas of the Housekeeping Department ensuring that housekeeping operations are always run correctly and efficiently within the home, that members are supremely comfortable and as happy as possible. You will ensure that suites, public areas, dining area, lounges and the main entrance are spotlessly clean and perfectly always maintained and that the housekeeping team are always immaculate, and service oriented. Ensure the use of nominated suppliers, and that purchase orders are complete issue orders for all supplies in line with the company procedures. Ensure that the job rotas are issued timely, and that adequate resources / staffing are always available. Liaise with nursing staff, members, relatives and other departments to ensure that you and your team are always meeting members' needs and preferences. Be prepared to be hands-on alongside team members, irrespective of shift patterns or days of the week. liaise closely with the other departments including; care, kitchen, maintenance, hospitality and activities regarding any housekeeping jobs that require attention Optimize staff retention and satisfaction through self-development and motivation of the team. Alongside the Learning & Development Team, continue to develop teams through in-house training, quarterly job chats, yearly appraisals and job reward schemes, and record evidence through personnel files and training records. Ensure that training compliance is constantly at 90%+ for the housekeeping team. Keep up to date with records and meet all statutory and company requirements from the Care Quality Commission care and Health and Safety requirements allowing Loveday Kensington to maintain the Outstanding Rating at all times. Have a leading impact on achieving of response and highest average rating in the annual Family Member Satisfaction Survey. Ensure the departments tracks and records all verbal and written compliments and complaints and that the GM is supported in appropriate follow up where needed. Meeting all statutory and company requirements to deliver a consistent, best in class 5-star service experience, that is safe, faultless, and cost-efficient. Perform duty managers' shifts, which include weekend and holidays. Undertake any other duties or training consistent with the role. Focused manage and develop the housekeeping and laundry service at Loveday. ensure that the Loveday Home is clean and always ordered. To manage the Loveday Home laundry and ensure all member items are labelled, recorded, and laundered as per instructions. manage the homes linen supply and always ensure suitable stock in circulation. To work closely with maintenance to ensure that any faults and defects are rectified in a timely manner. To lead, train and support the housekeeping team in carrying out their daily duties. To ensure that all Show Rooms and new Members rooms are always to the set standards. To manage all housekeeping suppliers and make efficient use of the company's resources ensuring that valuable stock and equipment are always secure.
