Full Job Description
- Oversee all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry operations
- Manage and train the housekeeping team to maintain high standards at all times
- Create and implement cleaning schedules and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies as and when required
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met and address any concerns promptly
We are looking for a compassionate and caring Head Housekeeper to join our family at Chestnut Manor Care Home. We are looking for individuals who share our values, have an interest in helping others, a can-do attitude and who will treat the people we support with care, compassion and respect. As Head Housekeeper you will lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure the care home is always clean, safe and comfortable for our residents, staff and visitors. - Proven experience in housekeeping management, ideally within a care home or hospitality setting
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
- Strong attention to detail with a caring nature, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
