Full Job Description

Some may say the housekeeping team are the back bone of the hotel operation. For our housekeeping team it is not just about making beds, it is about having an eye for detail, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience. The role of Head Housekeeper is key to our success. As Head Housekeeper you will need to have a can-do attitude and not be afraid to get stuck in. As Head Housekeeper, you will be proactive and hands on with your team to deliver exceptional levels of standards across all areas of the hotel. You will have overall responsibility for the preparation and cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas. You will proactively manage and inspect the performance of the team, leading by example and providing development opportunities. You will have a focus on the back of house operation, ensuring all housekeeping related administration is carried out to a high and efficient standard. This role is key to maintaining morale across the team, writing rotas, recruiting, training new team members and addressing any team or people related enquiries. In addition, you will take responsibility for the condition of all furnishings, fittings and equipment, liaising with the maintenance team as and when required.

Experience as a Head Housekeeper or within a similar role is required, hotel experience is essential. We are seeking a motivated, team player who has excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
