Full Job Description

You will support the Trustee with all decisions required and ensure the necessary advice is prepared for the Trustee to action decisions, including external advice where needed and effectively manage the wind-up of the POL section project, ensuring there is necessary resource to deliver the project and Trustee timescales are achieved alongside managing the budget for the project.

Be responsible for building and managing relationships with all key stakeholders involved in the Post Office wind-up including Post Offices Pensions Director and the buy-out insurance provider.

Support CEO in engaging with the Head of Corporate Pensions and prepare material for de-risking workshops to develop strategy that can ideally be agreed between the Trustee and company. Support development of framework for future surplus distribution if this is agreed.

Assist with the development of pensions understanding and technical knowledge for members of the Executive team and promote the culture of a collaborative environment within the Executive team, in which ideas and experience are shared.

Ensure that the third party suppliers (i.e. actuaries, covenant assessors, legal advisers, de-risking advisers, communication consultants, insurers) to the Trustee Board and Sub-Committees have in place the organisational capabilities and capacity to provide excellent customer service within a cost-controlled environment in order to deliver the strategic liability management objectives of the pension plans.
