Full Job Description
The requirement for role is to drive our business growth in the Defence training environment and manage key relationships associated with current contracts. You will manage the growth of these contracts and any associated new work. You will engage with customers and the associated procurement areas to build a pipeline of opportunities and develop an understanding of upcoming programmes, and position Raytheon to win large strategic pursuits. The role is responsible for all aspects of Business Development and Capture management using Shipley processes; and will be required to help develop the future strategy of the Training business area. You will also look for synergistic opportunities to sell Training capability at scale overseas and via other routes such as Aukus, 5eyes etc. Main Duties:
- Developing a strategy/plan for Raytheon's further expansion into the Training Environment
- Prepare and initiate action plans for the effective search for new opportunities with the objective of expanding the customer base
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers and develop new relationships as required
- Build, manage and qualify an opportunity pipeline through the company opportunity management system
- Maintain close and regular contact with all potential customers to ensure early knowledge of pending opportunities
- Undertake presentations and provide demonstrations with customers for the Mission Readiness business
- Preparation of forecasts, departmental reports and presentations for the Mission Readiness team
- Work with, and/or lead bid teams to prepare proposals and quotations, including the timely follow-up with customers
- Contribute and provide market intelligence to the Raytheon UK Competitive Intelligence Analyst
Excellent relationships with key influencers and decision makers in the UK Defence environment - 10+ years of experience of government and military training
- A strong Defence background with intimate understanding of customer procurement processes and doctrine
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong customer rapport at all levels
- Team working - able to work effectively as part of a team whilst encouraging and fostering teamwork; open to others ideas and input
- Influencing - high level of interpersonal skills, demonstrable ability to present ideas and take people with them
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Willingness to undertake regular International Travel
- SC Cleared or ability to become cleared (and eligible and prepared to undergo DV Clearance)
