An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at the Welsh Blood Service (WBS), within Velindre University NHS Trust. This role heads up the blood donation services, supporting the Director of WBS in providing strategic and operational leadership, financial and clinical management and ensuring effective oversight of key supply chain functions.
As a trusted healthcare provider, we work tirelessly to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and donor experience. Our dedicated teams play a pivotal role in ensuring that hospitals throughout Wales always have the blood supplies they need.
You will lead the Blood Donation Services change programmes, under the WBS Futures initiative, that supports the WBS 5-year strategy and will be accountable for:
Ø Whole Blood and platelet apheresis collection teams
Ø Donor Engagement and Recruitment
Ø Planning, Resource and Logistics
