Full Job Description

The Head of Board Business is a key leadership role within the Health Board. The Head of Board Business will support the Director of Corporate Governance to take forward the ongoing development of a governance framework for the organisation and ensure that it meets the standards of good governance set for the NHS in Wales., The Head of Board Business will help sustain the standards of good governance by supporting the Director of Corporate Governance to:

  • Operate the Board's business in-line with its legislative requirements and good governance standards;
  • Support the Health Board to act fairly, with integrity, and without prejudice or discrimination;
  • Contribute to the development of an organisational culture that embodies NHS values and standards of behaviour.
  • The Head of Board Business will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing effective governance and business process across the Board, Executive Team and Committees to ensure corporate business operates in-line with good governance principles and best practice. The scope of this role extends to the Board, all of its committees, the executive team's business (as a committee of the Board) and the Board's Advisory Fora.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
