Full Job Description
As a Head of Business Development you will be responsible for developing robust new business strategies and consistent opportunity pipelines. Day to day it will be you who is articulating the value of digital transformation to potential clients and you'll be skilled at translating trends and technical concepts to C-level executives so that they understand them and value them. In turn, it is your responsibility to build, grow and nurture a steady pipeline of opportunities through the creation of new prospective client relationships as well as leveraging existing relationships within your extensive network. You will confidently drive the creation, development, negotiation and closing of enterprise size deals whilst remaining customer centric and collaborative across the team and the wider organisation to help our customers achieve their business outcomes.
What you can expect:
- Driven to identify new opportunities; You will be continuously looking for new opportunities and potential clients to grow the Valtech business.
- Responsible for analysing market trends within your vertical market and keeping up with industry trends, market demands, and competitor strategies
- Developing business strategies along with creating and implementing strategies to increase the company's competitive advantage
- Building relationships and developing and strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors through a variety of channels and strategies
- Developing and evaluating partnerships by working closely with the Partnerships and Alliances team to assess existing partnerships and sales efforts to identify new opportunities and how to approach them
- Managing client relationships: Managing key client relationships and working to build new ones
- Regularly representing the organisation in pitches with c-level and executive level customer stakeholders as well as attending customer meetings., Curious minds are nurtured at Kin + Carta through a wide range of benefits including:
- You'll have a wealth of previous experience working within the digital consultancy world selling a broad range of digital expertise including our expertise in Data & AI, Cloud & Platforms, the design of intelligent experiences and making customers' visions reality through sophisticated strategy and innovation offerings.
- Proven and demonstrable previous experience navigating complex and challenging negotiations
- Proven knowledge, skills and experience of various sales methodologies and techniques that you can utilise to remove blockers and move opportunities along.
- We are looking for those with strong leadership and team working capabilities who can lead from the front and bring a team together when working on RFPs/RFIs and pitches.
- Excellent time, planning, and project management skills keeping yourself and those you are collaborating with organised and focussed.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally. You will be a great listener and be able to communicate complex or technical information in an engaging and accessible way.
- You will demonstrate high levels of resilience, attention to detail and a commitment to problem solving. Being creative and thinking outside the box when necessary
- Although much of the work you do will be as part of a collaborative, multi disciplinary team we need to see that you can also work independently.
- We are keen to see evidence of your strong networking, relationship building and business acquisition skills
- We'd be really keen to speak to you if you have a strong background or experience working with customers within the travel and hospitality industry.
