Full Job Description

We have a new opportunity for a Head of Business Development & Finance (6-7 month FTC) to join our high performing Finance Department in London. The Decision Support Manager is a highly visible role critical to our commercial success, with key relationships and exposure to key senior management. You will support the Group to deliver its commercial success through objective financial and strategic analysis.,

  • Preparation & presentation of analytical material to inform strategic financial decisions across the whole business
  • Lead financial analysis of potential new ventures/initiatives, investment/divestment and business development opportunities
  • Lead the ROI process on business initiatives during our 3 year plan cycle & support the Leadership Team to develop and implement the 3 year strategy
  • Lead Subscriptions Budgeting/Forecasting and financial modelling process (over 75% of revenue
  • Proactively providing insight to improve the financial and operational performance of the organisation through the use of wider market knowledge, and data insights and manipulation
  • Support the CFO and wider leadership in driving the financial sustainability of the organisation
  • Support the development of direct reports and the wider finance team

    We're looking for a proactive self-starter with commercial finance experience, who is eager to learn about Which? and embrace our exciting journey.
  • You'll be commercially savvy, have strong analytical and modelling skills, and have a proven ability to present persuasively and coherently to senior management and influence decisions. You'll also be experienced in managing others and supporting their development. You'll be able to demonstrate excellent experience of financial modelling and strategic analysis and have obtained a professional accountancy qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.

    This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and 11% pension after one year of service. Salary £80,000 - £100,000 per annum based on full time employment,
  • 35 hour working week (however we are open to this role being part time from 21 hours)

  • Our interview process usually involves 2 stages:
  • Sometimes a chat with a recruiter or hiring manager by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
  • An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-90 minutes) consisting of values and experience-based competency questions and a role related task on a laptop
