Full Job Description
Following the launch of Imperial's bold and ambitious strategy, Science for Humanity, in March 2024, Imperial is now preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign to support the delivery of its strategy. This will be a 10-year effort and one of the biggest campaigns in the UK., Imperial is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead the development and implementation of a dynamic communications strategy for the campaign which engages alumni, prospects, donors and other stakeholders to help achieve Imperial's ambitions for philanthropy and alumni engagement.
What you would be doing
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Campaign and Supporter Engagement, this is a new position which will lead the Campaign and Supporter Communications team and work with academic colleagues across the university to deliver a powerful narrative for Imperial's campaign.
You will lead the process of developing the opportunities set out in Imperial's strategy into compelling philanthropic propositions, to find the threads which will compel prospects and donors to make an impact through philanthropic support.
You will develop a new cross-Advancement communications strategy to drive active participation with the university and amplify the campaign across all relevant communications channels. You will take charge of the overall campaign narrative and identity, ensuring alignment with Imperial's refreshed brand., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter. An experienced and creative communicator, you will have proven experience of developing and implementing a communications strategy for a large-scale fundraising and/or community engagement campaign. With a strong understanding of what constitutes a compelling philanthropic funding proposition, you will have significant experience of delivering a range of fundraising collateral and managing a variety of communications channels for maximum impact.
