Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Chief Operating Officers Office, working closely with the Trust Cancer Lead Clinician, Lead Cancer Nurse, Trust Executive Team and Operational teams ensuring effective and high-quality cancer care is provided to our patients and families at the NNUH. The Head of Cancer Performance will drive and lead cancer performance delivery across all divisions against NHS England's Cancer Waiting Times standards. The post holder will be able to share best practice in cancer pathway management across the trust, supporting challenged areas as required by providing in-depth analysis of performance issues and guiding recovery action plans. The Head of Cancer Performance will be a key point of contact and work in collaboration with our colleagues at NHS England, the Cancer Alliance, Norfolk & Waveney ICB and Cancer teams at our neighbouring trusts., As post holder, your duties will include: To ensure all patients requiring access to outpatient appointments, diagnostics and elective inpatient or day-case treatment are managed equitably and consistently, in line with national cancer waiting time standards and the NHS Constitution. To maintain effective, constructive relationships with partners in other acute hospital trusts, ICB, Cancer Alliances, NHS England and Improvement with regard to the trust's Cancer performance. To provide these partners with relevant and accurate reporting, information and recovery plans as required. Manage the Trusts Cancer Service Development Budget, ensuring funding supports improvements to the overall Trust cancer position.
