An exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and hands-on Head of Catering Operations at North Star Community Trust (NSCT) has arisen. This role will ensure the efficient and effective operation of the catering service across the Trust. This will be on a 36hours a week and Term Time Only plus three weeks basis. As Head of Catering Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the health and well-being of future generations by upholding the high standards of food provision for pupils throughout the Trust. NSCT serves a community in a socio-economically deprived area, where meals at our schools often represent the most nutritious part of the day for some of our children. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that both the quality of food and service remains exceptional, making a significant impact on the community. You will lead Cooks, Kitchen Supervisors, and Kitchen Assistants across the Trust, ensuring consistency, skills development, and high standards at all times. Additionally, you will focus on minimising wastage, adhering to the budget without compromising quality, and ensuring compliance with food safety, allergen, and health and safety regulations. NSCT is a Multi-Academy Trust that manages three primary academies, one large secondary academy, and one sixth form, serving approximately 2,600 children.
