Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join and lead a dynamic team and be part of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Programme at NHS England delivering the recommendations of the Sir Mike Richards Diagnostics Recovery and Renewal and the NHS Long Term Plan increasing diagnostic capacity and contributing to the reduction in health inequalities and waiting times. As lead for the program you will have a pivotal role in engaging, supporting and challenging systems and leaders to develop and deliver centres within communities that improve diagnostic access to patients in need. You will use your extensive NHS experience and leadership skills to communicate and lead this program of work closely collaborating with regional and system colleagues. A strong clinical background in health care delivery to support and realise the full potential of program design, implementation and delivery of services is essential to meet program aims. You will work alongside the head of the CDC program to take national responsibility for specific aspects of understanding, reporting on and articulating the benefits of transformation of care initiatives, workforce strategies and use of funds to optimise the effectiveness of the facilities built.Main duties of the job Offer expert advice and guidance on how to develop, implement and deliver the best CDC services achievable as well as contributing to key strategic decisions on core priorities and design of planning guidance. The role includes but not limited to: Interrogate, inform, analyse and report on complex information to support the programme objectives, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies. Lead on effective processes to support project delivery, ensuring value for money, and delivery within budget and timescale. Collaborate and lead on ensuring that speciality expertise and insight internally and externally are incorporated into effective programme delivery. Lead the processes for the development of materials, quality assurance, evaluation, and best practice in CDCs. Build a culture of continuous improvement by demonstrating and evaluating learning opportunities in a spirit of openness and transparency. Secure buy-in and remove barriers to deliver. Represent NHS England in sector events, presentations, meetings and joint work with partner organisations., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher. Demonstrate NHSEs competencies relevant to this role and act as a role model for NHSE values and behaviours. Lead and feedback on current knowledge of challenges and opportunities for CDCs in improving productivity and efficiency. To succeed in this role you will bring a positive 'can do' attitude.
