Full Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical leadership for remote mental health services across Bupa UK. Develop collaborative relationships internally and externally with key strategic partners and providers of mental health services. Oversee performance of clinicians within mental health services to ensure compliance with clinical governance and clinical best practice.

How you'll help us make health happen :

Support and develop a sustainable mental health clinical community to ensure retention of clinical talent and attraction of new talent

As a member of the Bupa Health Clinics Clinical Leadership Team take joint accountability for the delivery of the BHC clinical strategy and clinical KPIs.

Undertake at least one Mental Health clinical sessions per week.

Develop and manage collaborative relationships internally and externally with key strategic partners and providers of mental health services

Oversee clinical governance and clinician training for mental health services across BHC and in particular support :

Clinical effectiveness, adherence to best international standards, clinical policies, clinical pathways clinical audit and clinical performance monitoring

Clinical safety, clinical incident management and clinical risk management

Learning from clinical complaints and customer satisfaction surveys

Regulatory, statutory and professional compliance

Professional development, clinical training and clinical review / appraisals

Information governance and confidentiality

Clinical governance reporting

Development and maintenance of dashboards or other MI to monitor and act on key KPIs

Be the voice of Bupa UK on mental health both internally and externally, noting that this is a media facing role and that you will be expected to represent Bupa, contribute to the development of relevant literature, speak to journalists and give presentations.

Be the voice of the patient', seeking to address qualities and outcomes which are valued by customers.

Develop excellent working relationships with key peers such as Operational Leads.

Deputise for the Medical Director Clinics if required

Deliver excellent, evidence-based medicine within your own practice

Be the line manager to senior clinical leads in addition to the dotted line manager for other appropriate subject matter experts

Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with professional doctorate accredited by the BACP OR Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with post-graduate diploma accredited by the BACP OR Counsellor / Psychotherapist accredited with the BACP - All with substantial experience working in mental health services and post qualification experience.

Up to date with own clinical practice, demonstrates an ability to maintain clinical competence

Senior Clinician with substantial experience in Mental Health.

Experience of business / financial management within healthcare.

Strategy experience -

Creative and strategic thinker with an ability to influence and lead others

Achievements within complex environments involving multiple stakeholders

Ability to adopt a range of tactics and approaches to suit circumstances

Clinical Governance experience -

Strong motivation to improve the safety and effectiveness of clinical services

Experience and knowledge of the implementation of clinical governance activities.

Experience of the development and use of evidence-based care processes

Understanding of the licensing and evaluation of new treatments and technologies.
