Full Job Description

The Corporate Communications team is vital to Sky's success, responsible for safeguarding and advancing the company's reputation. As the Head of Communications, you'll lead key corporate announcements, oversee executive communications, and manage internal and external communications for Sky Creative, Sky's European Brand and Creative hub, which serves the UK, German, and Italian markets.

This role gives you the opportunity to manage a high-performing team, support senior leadership, and create a lasting impact through award-winning creative initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead External Communications: Develop and execute Sky Creative's external strategy, enhancing the profiles of senior leaders.

  • Internal Communications: Implement an internal communications plan that aligns with Sky Creative's core strategic pillars, focusing on workplace culture and business performance.

  • People Initiatives: Drive consistent messaging around Sky Creative's people initiatives, enhancing engagement across the company.

  • Awards Strategy: Lead the year-long awards strategy to promote Sky Creative's achievements and creativity.

  • Press Office Management: Partner with the corporate communications team on issues management and media enquiries.

  • Executive Support: Provide strategic counsel to senior management across Sky on reputation management and external engagements.

    Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to influence and execute strategies through partnership with business owners and stakeholders.

  • Strategic Communication Skills: Strong understanding of business strategies with a focus on prioritising and balancing stakeholder demands.

  • Media & PR Expertise: Extensive experience in generating media coverage, managing press offices, and handling high-stakes media inquiries.

  • Exceptional Writing: Expertise in creating press releases, social content, and executive presentations, ensuring clarity and impact.

  • Team Development: Experience managing and mentoring a communications team, fostering collaboration and delivering results.

  • Budget Management: Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing budgets and delivering projects on time.
