HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Credit Research team at Director level. The role holder will manage a small team of Credit Researchers linked to our Fixed Income Asset Management business. The role is a senior client facing point of contact for our Institutional Investor clients and will collaboratively work to set a strategy for success, particularly in relation in the ESG investment space.   • Effectively manage the UK Team providing support and development alongside providing research analysis on a universe of issuers under his/her coverage
  • Maintain a hands-on presence as the senior management point of contact for external Institutional clients.
  • Take ownership and set standards related to the bank's compliance & governance policy.
  • Collaborate with other HSBC internal teams such Investment Portfolio Managers and international colleagues including New York & Hong Kong
  • Have a heavy involvement in ESG led investment strategy including assessing risk factors, investment methodology and governance and compliance legislation.

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Have the relevant experience levels in a Research led role covering a Global Markets setting, ideally Fixed Income.
  • Strong knowledge and exposure to ESG and how it effects Investment decision making & associated Risk.
  • Awareness of the Institutional client space and have a detailed understanding of the information they seek to inform their investment strategies.
  • Experience dealing with Senior Stakeholders that engenders credibility to be viewed as a Trusted Advisor.
  • Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills, being highly numerate and analytically strong with strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills or equivalent.
  • This is a hybrid working role with the base location in London. The successful candidate must have the ability to commute to this location. The role will involve regular international travel across Europe.
