A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Design and Technology. We are looking to appoint a Head of Design and Technology who is committed to supporting student enjoyment and progress in our Technology Department. We are looking for an ambitious, inspirational, enthusiastic Head of Department with a proven track record of increasing outcomes, who is passionate about their subject. This position would suit someone new to post or an experienced Head of Department. Whilst there is a preference for someone with a Design Technology or Graphic Design background, we welcome applicants from all Technology backgrounds. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and forward thinking school, which puts students at the centre of all we do. It was first established in 1927, and we are looking forward to the upcoming centennial celebrations. Our school has approximately 1250 students aged 11-16, making it noticeably larger than the average secondary school. The school site has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation since its founding, and boasts a range of modern teaching facilities. The most recent of these being our B block - which houses a state of the art Dance studio, Drama studio, 3 modern classrooms and Humanities and Learning Hub department areas.
