Full Job Description

Following an expansion of its A Level provision, Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking a talented and ambitious Head of Economics to lead a newly formed department. The successful candidate will have opportunity to set the strategic direction of the department, designing and implementing a new curriculum in line with their chosen exam board syllabus. They will also enjoy considerable support from the school's leadership team and the well-established Business department.,

  • Lead and manage the Economics Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning that result in excellent student outcomes.
  • Implement and develop a comprehensive and engaging Economics curriculum.
  • Teach Economics to A Level.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as economics clubs, competitions, and trips.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in economics education and integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school's strategic planning and development as an academic leader.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Further Responsibilities:
  • To act as a form tutor.
  • To contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
  • To undertake such other duties as the Head may reasonably request.
