We are offering a unique and exciting opportunity to join our senior leadership as our Head of Employee Services.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to lead, motivate and inspire a dedicated team to deliver high-quality recruitment and workforce systems functions, and manage the contract with our outsourced payroll provider., You'll also gain strategic experience, driving change in relation to our commitment to inclusive recruitment, and working in collaboration with external partners across the Greater Manchester system to scale-up and improve the efficiency of employee services.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in recruitment and workforce systems who is ready to step into a leadership position and make a real impact across our Trust. It is offered on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, due to the substantive postholder being successful in obtaining a career development opportunity of their own.
You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and enthusiastic HR senior leadership team, under the direction of our newly appointed Chief People Officer.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Nicola Wilkinson, Associate Director of HR ([email protected])., This is a senior role within the People and OD directorate, providing strategic and operational leadership to Recruitment and Workforce Systems Teams.
This role is the most senior expert in recruitment and workforce systems and is responsible for setting the strategic direction for these areas in alignment with local and national strategy and best practice as well as organisational strategy and objectives, with a focus on candidate attraction and inclusive recruitment and selection. They are also responsible for leading and managing high-performing Recruitment and Workforce Systems Teams, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators and positive relations with employees and managers.
The postholder will need to complete regular audits on quality and compliance with legislation, regulations and local policies, and maintain appropriate processes for managing risks and ensuring continuous service improvement. They will produce reports for various internal and external stakeholders and provide assurances to board and sub-board level committees.
The postholder will work in collaboration with senior leaders and executive directors across corporate functions and care groups on recruitment and workforce matters, supported by the Resourcing Manager, Workforce Systems Team Leader, and Recruitment Partners aligned to our care groups, and responsible to the Associate Director of HR., We are aspiring to ensure our workforce is representative of the diverse communities that we serve, and we are strongly committed to removing barriers to employment for candidates from under-represented groups, for example BAME, Disabled and LGBT+ communities.
