Full Job Description

  • Lead the development and execution of the estate strategy to support Poundland & Dealz's growth.
  • Identify new property opportunities and negotiate favourable leases or acquisitions in line with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Optimise our existing property portfolio, ensuring alignment with operational needs while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the site selection, development, and management of new store locations, from planning through to opening.
  • Manage landlord relationships, lease negotiations, renewals, and terminations to maximise value while minimising costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements related to property management.
  • Prepare and oversee the estate's budget, providing accurate financial forecasting and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Estates team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

  • 8-10 years of experience in estate management, preferably within the retail sector.

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and conducting financial forecasting.

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to property management, along with sustainability practices in real estate.
