Head of Finance Operations (Maternity cover - 8 months)

The Head of Finance is accountable for executing the financial operations of the business with the guidance of the Finance Director and the support of the finance team, this includes the following tasks:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts with the support of the Management Accountant
• Work with management accountant to build balance sheet reconciliations for all key balances
• Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and ensure bank accounts have correct currency available for transactions.
• Manage expense process
• Ensure compliance with, and accurate reporting of taxes including PAYE/NIC, VAT, Corporation Tax, US/ Global Sales Taxes, Customs & Duties, in multiple territories.
• Ensure accurate stock reporting across the business on a monthly basis - which is a manual process.
• Manage with wholesale the prompt receivables collection as well as accurate and timely payment of suppliers
• Manage suppliers and contractors financial set up and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Analyse and propose most optimal insurances for the business
• Ensure systems are integrated to deliver accurate reporting
• Work with auditors for first audit, ensuring testing is completed in a timely manner
• Ensure adherence to all financial (inc. IFRS), regulatory and tax reporting requirements
• Execute financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow, and reporting against forecasts
  
  The ideal candidate will possess:
• 5+ years of experience in Finance
• Qualified Accountant with a proven track record of leading Finance and Operations function
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive team player with a can-do attitude
Must have the right to work in the UK.
