Full Job Description

Full time position - 35 hours, hybrid working (minimum of 2 days per week at Head Office in Skipton), flexible working arrangements considered., Supporting the Director of Group Finance in the provision of financial control you will be responsible for leading the Finance team, overseeing Treasury Settlements; Banking and Payments Operations; Control Reconciliation and Purchase Ledger. Your ability to influence, engage and work in partnership will be put to good use, supporting the Society's corporate plan and objectives. With the recent implementation of a best-in-class Financial Management solution you will be accountable for continuing to drive forward our Group Finance transformation plans., This is a great chance to take the helm of a senior role and really make it your own. Reporting to the Director of Group Finance you will be a strategic thinker, keeping our Group Finance vision and associated strategic roadmap alive and ensuring the profitable growth of the company, whilst ensuring effective management of the financial controls.

As part of this role, you'll be comfortable embracing and promoting change by advocating continuous improvement activity to drive service excellence and have the opportunity toshape the future of Finance through our change programme.

You'll be leading a high performing team who will be looking to you for inspiration and relying on you to ensure their objectives are clear, relevant and achievable, and managing the performance of direct reports, providing regular coaching and feedback.

Ideally your background will involve Senior Leadership experience within the Financial Services sector, having carried out the role / similar before. You'll have a proven track record of increasing operational efficiencies whilst maintaining a strong control environment to ensure the Treasury Settlements and Financial Control Framework is maintained to a high standard to minimize the risk of fraud or errors. A recognised accounting qualification is also essential (CIMA/ACCA).

A lot of your time will be spent developing rewarding relationships with people across the business and your own team, so you'll need to be a brilliant communicator who can influence and engage at every level. You'll also be experienced at interpreting corporate direction.

Strong stakeholder management skills are a must and you'll be one of those people who knows when to challenge, and how to do it in the right way. The key competencies for this role are:
