Head of Financial Compliance & Accounting Services - 39 hours per week

Are you a qualified accountant with expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP? We're looking for a Head of Financial Compliance & Accounting Services to lead the accounting and compliance functions for our Vet Business here at Pets at Home., As our Head of Financial Compliance & Accounting Services, you'll be responsible for overseeing monthly accounts for 500+ veterinary practices. You'll ensure statutory filings, manage audits and provide technical accounting guidance across the business. We can offer hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire), where you'll be required to work two days per week. Key Responsibilities will include;

• Overseeing monthly management accounts for joint ventures and group-owned practices
• Ensuring accurate statutory filings and being the main contact for external audits
• Advising on complex accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP
• Developing and enhancing internal controls and risk management
  
  Qualified accountant with 5+ years PQE
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and the Companies Act
• Strong stakeholder management and audit experience
• Leadership skills & experience to manage and develop a small team
