Full Job Description

Together Sense UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Fundraising and Community Marketing to lead our marketing and fundraising efforts. This pivotal role combines the responsibilities of Head of Fundraising Marketing, Community Fundraising Marketing Manager, and Senior Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will drive the strategic direction, planning, and implementation of our marketing and fundraising initiatives, building strong community engagement and increasing our brand's impact. Key Responsibilities 1. Fundraising Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a robust multi-channel fundraising marketing strategy.
  • Identify, segment, and target key donor audiences, creating tailored messaging to attract and retain supporters.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set annual fundraising targets, monitoring progress and adjusting tactics as needed.
  • Cultivate major donor relationships, corporate partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities, ensuring effective stewardship of donors.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that amplify the organization's brand visibility and donor engagement.
  • 2. Community Fundraising Marketing:
  • Create and lead community-based fundraising campaigns that foster local support and increase volunteer involvement.
  • Build partnerships with community groups, local businesses, and volunteer networks to expand reach and mobilize fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and manage a volunteer-led fundraising strategy, training and empowering ambassadors to represent the charity across different communities.
  • Implement social media and grassroots marketing strategies to enhance public awareness, engaging local communities and encouraging fundraising participation.
  • Plan and oversee events and campaigns that encourage public donations and build a network of supporters.
  • 3. Marketing Campaigns and Brand Management:
  • Design, manage, and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and social media, to build the charity's brand and promote fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee all marketing campaigns to raise awareness of our cause, ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies including email, social media, and web content that engage and retain donors.
  • Conduct market research to understand the target audience and optimize the charity's outreach strategy.
  • Create impactful storytelling content that conveys the charity's mission, values, and successes to stakeholders.
  • 4. Team Management and Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing and fundraising professionals, setting clear objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Work closely with program and communications teams to ensure cohesive messaging and coordinated fundraising activities.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities within the team to enhance skills and drive performance.
  • 5. Financial and Data Management
  • Oversee fundraising budgets, ensuring campaigns are cost-effective and align with financial objectives.
  • Analyze performance data from fundraising and marketing campaigns, leveraging insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on fundraising metrics, budget performance, and community engagement outcomes.

    Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategies.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing or fundraising role within the charity sector, with a track record of meeting ambitious goals.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective fundraising results.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, social media platforms, data analysis, and campaign management.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a results-driven approach.
  • A strong commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a deep understanding of the charity sector and donor motivations.
