Issuer Services Operations (ISV Ops) is part of the broader Client Operations organization within GBM. ISV Ops is globally aligned, supporting Issuer Services, GB and CMB lending and bond origination. The function is accountable for Loan Agency Operations, Loan Administration and Corporate Trust Operations functions. We are seeking a high calibre and experienced person to join this team in the role of Head of Issuer Services Loan Operations. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing leadership and oversight for the regional loan agency and loan admin operations teams
  • Driving a consistent operating model across the region sites working closely with sector country leads and client service managers to understand the country-to-country propositions
  • Ensuring effective oversight and regular dialogue is in place with our operational teams in City Offices ensuring constant collaboration, sharing of updates and best practices to ensure consistency in performance across sites and region
  • Developing and maintaining a professional high quality operational team with focus to deliver a world class service
  • Displaying a strong client service and operational work ethic, ensuring that internal and external stakeholder's requirements are understood; that our requirements and processes are explained; display a commitment to service delivery that demonstrates that the client is at the heart of everything that we do
  • Taking ownership of any action plans or remediation exercises and work with internal stakeholders to ensure any performance issues are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Displaying a strong understanding of risk control matters, identifying areas for improvement together with providing and implementing solutions
  • Keeping abreast of industry developments and steer the team through key market changes, help identify technology improvements that could enrich our process and benefit our clients
  • Providing advice and guidance to the team and to our City Offices where required and act as an escalation point for local management
  • Ensuring ongoing training and development of staff
  • Managing operational, reputational, and financial risk via operational risk assessments, audit standards and Operational losses

    Strong working knowledge of Loan IQ and LMA documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of loan market/industry changes
  • Experience in a comparable role with a strong understanding of the Syndicated and/or Primary Loan Market
  • Strong and demonstrable operational risk mindset and understanding of the key risks relevant to the Loan Agent business
  • Highly organised with the ability to lead a team with multiple competing priorities whilst delivering outstanding client service
  • A Client focused approach, with a proven record of commitment to excellent customer service
  • A pro-active problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders across sites
  • Leadership experience with track record of collaboration, coaching and developing a team
