What you need to know about the role…

This role is tasked with leading the planning, development and implementation of the marketing strategy and acting as the guardian of the brand across the business. To succeed in this role, you'll know how brands grow and have experience making it happen. You will have a good understanding of what it takes to build a brand that resonates with its target consumers. You'll know how to leverage insight to bring the consumer voice to life in the business and deliver compelling multi-channel strategies that amplify our brand positioning. You will be hands-on and comfortable straddling both the strategic and operational discourse and collaborating with teams to deliver solutions at scale.

Main job activities would include:

  • Lead the implementation of our brand positioning, personality and tone across key channels and customer experiences.

  • Working with the team, implement the quarterly marketing planning process with key cross functional stakeholders.

  • Working in lockstep with the rest of the Commercial & Marketing team, deliver the FY25 Marketing plan through cross functional teams to effectively achieve business goals.

  • Build the brand personality and tone of voice through evolution of our social media strategies and leading integrated execution with PR.

  • Lead acquisition through our local marketing channels, collaborating with Operations to deliver through teams up and down the country.

  • Oversee the marketing budget for campaigns, local marketing, social media and the internal studio.

  • Lead the internal studio team by acting as brand guardian and ensuring efficient, effective creative delivery for the business.

  • Lead the relationship with our key creative agency partners to ensure brilliant client/agency ways of working and quality of output.

  • Leads, coaches, develops the MarComms team developing personal development plans & creating a high performing team.

  • Sits in a range of cross-functional working groups to be the voice of brand and the consumer.

    Experience delivering integrated communications campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.

  • Good understanding of the UK agency landscape and a track record of delivering best in class client/agency ways of working.

  • Track record in leading strategy and implementation across the full marketing mix, including social & PR

  • Experience at overseeing an in-house studio of multi-functional creatives (graphic design, video, animation).

  • Creative with flair and imagination, has a passion for ideas and is comfortable reviewing and directing creative work.

  • World class people management skills, able to engage and successfully lead a high performing team.

  • Strong influencing skills with an ability to gain buy in from multiple stakeholders and C-suit execs e.g. CFO, CIO.

  • Team player, naturally inclined to lean into the organisation around you in order to achieve your goals best.
