Full Job Description

In this role you will lead, inspire, and motivate others to ensure we maximise the growth of our Inflammation portfolio and UK&I affiliate. As Head of Marketing for Inflammation, you will oversee the development and implementation of strategies and flagship initiatives for our core Inflammation brands. You will ensure your team of 4 execute on marketing fundamentals, innovate and push boundaries, role model our Amgen values, and build strong partnerships across Value Access Policy (VAP), Medical, Commercial Operations. This role will report to the UK General Medicine and Inflammation Business Unit Director. Other essential duties include:

  • Attract, develop, and retain a best-in-class marketing team.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with medical, value access policy, commercial operations, our field teams, etc. to ensure operational excellence of our brand strategies/tactics.
  • Lead on high profile non-Inflammation projects across the UK affiliate, role modelling our Amgen values and a growth mindset.
  • Consistently look for new innovate ways of working to deliver efficiency and improved quality.
  • Oversee the successful development and execution of brand strategies across inflammation branded and biosimilar medicines
  • Prepare and drive launch plans for upcoming products within our rich pipeline
  • Oversee the development of an omni-channel plan and dynamic content covering our entire portfolio
  • Partner with the Market Access lead to deliver our national access plans
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development of plans and activities
  • Deliver sales targets and brand spend
  • Partner with our global colleagues to develop plans and activities
  • Join our team You will be joining a successful marketing team within the General Medicine and Inflammation business unit, working across the Inflammation portfolio. This is an exciting role that covers a portfolio of products that includes branded and biosimilars products that represent a major contribution to the UK affiliate. You will lead and own a variety of commercial initiatives spanning omni-channel, access, strategy, and core marketing.

    As a goal oriented & results driven marketer you have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration or Science
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced highly cross-functional environment
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and work with cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of strategic imperatives
  • Experience testing new channels and optimising content to drive better results and engagement
  • Proven success in planning and execution, building and targeting customer segments, product positioning, and multi-channel marketing
  • Analytical skills to assess the impact of marketing activities
  • Hands-on approach to solving problems
  • Fluent in regulatory frameworks and code of practice (ABPI / IPHA)
