Radnor House Sevenoaks aims to create a collaborative whole-school community of life-long learners, always motivated to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning through self-reflection, objective evaluation, and research-based practice. The Purpose of the Role Following an expansion of its A Level provision, Radnor House Sevenoaks is seeking a talented and ambitious Head of Media to lead a newly formed department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Media education at KS4 and KS5, inspiring students, and contributing to the overall academic leadership of the school. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Media Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning that result in excellent student outcomes.
  • Implement and develop a comprehensive and engaging media curriculum.
  • Teach Media Studies to A Level and Creative iMedia at KS4.
  • Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as media clubs, competitions, and trips.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in media education and integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the school's strategic planning and development as an academic leader.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Further Responsibilities:
  • To act as a form tutor.
  • To contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
  • To undertake such other duties as the Head may reasonably request.
