Full Job Description
Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Trust (HPFT) is looking for a full or part time band 7 Occupational Therapist to work within Mental Health Services for Older People. The Head Occupational Therapist would be working within the community based Specialist Mental Health Team for Older People in Watford., The Head OT would co-ordinate and oversee the community OT service for Older People across the South West quadrant. They wouldcarry a caseload as well as having managerial responsibilities which would include, supervision, service development, recruitment and retention, training etc. Training opportunities would be available for the enthusiastic applicants who could fulfil this role. You would be part of a supportive team of Head and Lead OTs.Training will be offered with regards to developing leadership skills, Model of Human Occupation as well as a variety of in-service training opportunities.

As an Occupational Therapist in HPFT you would:
Be part of an OT team, not a lone professional
Be part of MDTs that value and respect OT
Involvement in CPD and reflective practice.
All our OTs are supervised by experienced Specialist/Head/Lead Occupational Therapists
You would receive support and be part of an OT network across all the services. If you are new to the area or considering career progression - we can support you.
