Full Job Description

Step into a pivotal leadership position at Omega Red Group as our Head of Operations. This role is essential for driving our operational strategy, ensuring our services consistently meet the highest standards, and fostering a safety-first culture across our multiple UK offices.,

  • Lead and inspire a team of 7 reporting managers.
  • Drive safety leadership, promoting a collaborative and engaging work culture.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility, developing and implementing strategies for profitable growth.
  • Create regional and business plans aligned with our overall strategy, focusing on resource and competency management.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery with a "right first time" approach.
  • Oversee all operational activities, including consultancy, engineering design, procurement, construction, and maintenance.
  • Support regional offices in growing local sales through targeted marketing and activity plans.
  • Provide strong commercial and contract governance, including project reviews and financial oversight.
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction and compliance with all specifications and regulations.
  • Conduct regular review meetings with branch and department managers to ensure positive outcomes.

    Experience in increasing growth and margin improvement of P&L >£10m, ideally >£15m, with management of >125 people.
  • A proven track record of leading multi-site/regional operational teams within a safety-critical environment.
  • At least 5 years of senior-level operational management experience in medium-sized contracting businesses, ideally in M&E/Hard
  • FM services.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of securing successful outcomes from site to board level.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects of varying values, typically £1k to £500k, occasionally up to £2m.
  • Competence in commercial matters, financial reporting, and pre-contract award reviews.
  • Knowledge of pricing mechanisms, contract terms (NEC, JCT, etc.), and health and safety requirements.
  • A track record of inspiring and developing high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
  • Good academic attainment, ideally to degree level, or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Vocational qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering and management are preferred.
  • Subject matter knowledge relating to the compliance of power earthing, lightning protection, height safety solutions.
  • Previous experience with end to end project management from scoping through to implementation.

  • Base salary of £80 - £100k - negotiable based on experience
