Full Job Description

Pulse are looking to hire a Head of Project Production & Base Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The Head of Project Production & Base Manager will oversee the successful execution of all project delivery activities while managing the Wokingham base. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on project management, ensuring that all initiatives meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Project Production will define and drive a seamless order to delivery experience for our products and associated services. This role will ensure industry-leading end-to-end processes are established, followed and continually improved so we have the right product available, configured, delivered and returned at end of its life cycle. The role will have overall ownership of the order to delivery journey, with a clear focus on efficiency and visibility, whilst mitigating risks to our company, our customers, revenue recognition,

  • Lead the production planning, execution, and delivery of structural monitoring projects. Develop and implement lean methodologies and best practices to improve efficiency. Co-ordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficient resource allocation. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve objectives. Ensure quality standards are kept at all stages of production. Provide regular reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics to senior management. Analyse project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive supply chain management, establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Production optimisation, highlight areas where production of components/systems can be optimised to improve build time and increase standardisation.
  • Oversee the operational base, ensuring all facilities and resources are optimized for project delivery. Oversight of the site maintenance team including the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Ensure the facility meets safety and compliance standards in line with industry regulations. Develop and manage internal project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance. Manage temporary staff during high workloads. Provide oversight and training to staff. Lead by example when issues occur. Manage resources to provide seamless delivery and production of Pulse built equipment
  • Oversee shipments, documentation, compliance and procurement. Drive change in business procurement strategies and processes, implementing change where needed.
