Full Job Description
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and part of the People Leadership Team, you'll develop and deliver a pay, reward, recognition, benefits, and performance strategy which is aligned to the Company and function strategic plan and meets our ongoing and future aspirations to transform the National Lottery. We have a small but mighty existing Reward team including a Reward Analyst and Payroll & Reward Manager who would be part of your team. Exceptional leadership skills are a key requirement for this role so that this team continue to feel valued, developed, supported and part of our longer-term Reward & Recognition planning. Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver Allwyn's 5-10-year Reward strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders.
- Ensure all aspects of reward, benefits, policy, and performance are focused on diversity and inclusiveness to ensure accessibility and equality of approach to all colleagues.
- Create a total reward strategy, combining a range of different pay and benefits offerings into a flexible framework which meets the diverse needs of our colleagues.
- Create a long-term transformational payroll strategy and process in conjunction with the Payroll & Reward Manager, Director of People Operations, and Director of People Transformation.
- Implement Allwyn's new grading structure across our practices and policies working closely with the People LT and wider team to do so.
- Develop in partnership with the wider people team, a reward calendar and detailed plan, that aligns with the broader Internal Comms communication calendar.
- Provide expert advice to the Remuneration Committee and annual remuneration processes ensuring the processes are fair and equitable and in line with the reward strategy.
- Oversee the production of gender and ethnicity pay gap, and other pay-related data, reporting in accordance with statutory and best practice requirements and deliver agreed recommendations in line with Allwyn's agreed aims and objectives.
- Input into the development of the wider and functional People strategies.
- Provide advice and draw upon external advisors, when required, on internal secondments and global mobility. Working closely with Allwyn group on Global Mobility programs to ensure consistency across group companies.
- Understand the system requirements for Reward & Recognition now and in the future, and ensure they are aligned to the broader People System landscape to ensure an integrated / data led approach.
CIPD qualification at degree level. - Proven leadership skills and experience - we're looking for a leader that can evidence motivating and inspiring their direct and wider People team.
- Extensive experience with Remuneration Committees, both in preparation for committees, partnering with advisors, and attendance at committees, with the ability to influence decision making.
- Experience of effectively communicating reward and performance management frameworks to colleagues and other key stakeholders.
- Up to date knowledge of benefits legislation and best in class Reward practices.
- M&A integration and TUPE experience.
- Proven experience of transforming reward and payroll practices and able to demonstrate the impact that this has had on a business from both a commercial and people perspective.
- Demonstrable commitment to the promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience of implementing large-scale cost-effective reward solutions. Skills:
- Exceptional relationship building skills. You'll be known for your ability to bring people on a journey with you.
- Strong numeracy skills including experience of managing large-scale reward relates budgets, and high attention to detail.
- Deeply analytical with the ability and experience of translating data into compelling and concise insight to drive decision making.
- Confidence to be credible and be able to influence with authority.
- Ability to work effectively at both the strategic and operational level.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs.
- Ability to communicate relevant information (orally and written) clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders, in different forums.
- Culturally sensitive with high emotional intelligence and the resilience to balance competing demands under pressure.
- Ability to champion new strategies and develop a medium to long-term reward and performance management frameworks.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills as well as the ability and humility to involve others in a solution-focused way.
