Reporting to the Global Head of Compliance Officers and to the UK Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will support the UK Risk Management Committee in identifying, documenting, managing, and monitoring key strategic, regulatory and compliance risks. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of CBRE's global Ethics and Compliance program in the UK. The Head of Risk and Compliance will be expected to foster and sustain effective and collaborative relationships as a business partner to key stakeholders across the UK. The role will be a key partner to corporate support functions in the UK and to the wider regional and global compliance community. Key Responsibilities Risk Management

  • Act as a strategic business partner to Senior Leadership in the UK, overseeing the UK Risk Management Committee and advising the business on the development and execution of its Risk Management programme.
  • Own and manage the UK risk register, present to Risk Management Committee, and suggest risk mitigation actions and continued improvement.
  • Create and deliver a Risk-based monitoring programme for UK Board approval and reporting, including regular review and updates.
  • Support the UK's contribution to CBRE's global Enterprise Risk Management programme.
  • Facilitate the execution of CBRE's Regulatory and Compliance Risk Assessment activities.
  • Oversee CBRE's strategic relationships with key regulatory bodies.
  • Support corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders and clients.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk Management colleagues across CBRE's global network.
  • Participate in other UK Advisory governance bodies, boards and committees.
  • Ethics and Compliance
  • Act as a business partner and trusted advisor to UK management, supporting the achievement of CBRE's business objectives ethically.
  • Shape the vision and direction for the Ethics and Compliance program in UK.
  • Maintain CBRE's risk-based Ethics and Compliance programme.
  • Roll out global Ethics and Compliance strategies and initiatives in the UK.
  • Support the business in the creation and maintenance of UK policies and procedures.
  • Support management in achieving compliance communications and training targets.
  • Work with CBRE's global Trust Team as needed.
  • Work with the Global Financial Integrity team regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
  • Work with CBRE's M&A team on compliance due diligence.
  • Report to business leadership on implementation of key Compliance initiatives.
  • Serve as an alternative, confidential point of contact for employees.
  • Grow and support UK participation in the Global Ethics and Compliance Ambassadors program.
  • Quality and Best Practice
  • Manage and oversee delivery of CBRE UK's Quality management and Best Practice team.
  • Oversee the management of client complaints.
  • People Management
  • Lead a high-performing and engaged team of Compliance professionals.

  • Solid track record of working in / leading a compliance, internal control or risk / governance.
  • Prior experience in real estate investment or large corporate.
  • Leading a compliance or risk management function.
  • Ambition to drive, build and implement Enterprise Risk Management function.
  • Certifications in Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions preferred.
  • Associate or Chartered Membership of the RICS (Desirable).
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees.
  • High levels of personal resilience and flexibility.
  • Proactive problem solver, leads by example.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded.
