In this role, you'll provide leadership in governance, compliance, and risk management across Sopra Steria's Financial Services sector, developing strategies that not only align with regulatory standards but also deliver outstanding client outcomes. What you'll be doing:
- Defining and maturing risk and governance practices aligned with SMCR and Conduct rules.
- Ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements, such as consumer duty, AML, and GDPR.
- Overseeing a comprehensive Risk Management Framework and related policies.
- Providing mentorship to senior management on governance and compliance.
- Chairing risk committees, promoting a culture of risk awareness across the account.
- Leading a high-performing team that delivers consistent, high-quality results. What you'll bring:
- Senior leadership experience in financial services risk/compliance management.
- Deep familiarity with SMCR, including SMF4, 16, 17, or 18.
- Expertise in compliance frameworks and the ability to instill a risk-aware culture.
- Strong relationship-building skills and client-focused problem-solving.
- Resilience and adaptability within fast-paced, agile environments. It would be great if you had:
- Project management skills, including experience with Lean or Six Sigma.
- Relevant industry qualification, such as ICA Certificate in Compliance.
