Full Job Description

The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Head of Service - Faculty Liaison to manage the delivery and development of the UoN's Disability Support Services link with Academic Departments, ensuring the delivery of high quality guidance, liaison, and advice to staff and students across the University.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team through a disability inclusive project to address the gaps and needs of our students in order to develop inclusive knowledge and behaviours at the University.

We welcome candidates with specialist knowledge of support for a range of disabled students, including those with mental health conditions, autistic spectrum conditions, sensory and mobility impairments and long-term medical conditions. You'll work alongside a sister team of specialist tutors who support students with specific learning differences.

You'll have the understanding of the nature and challenges involved in life at University and the ways in which disability can impact on study. The candidate will have a degree or a proven track record of extensive disability work experience. You'll also have well developed negotiating and influencing skills and be able to work with highly sensitive information appropriately and operate with minimal supervision, prioritising and planning a busy workload.

Salary: £44,263 to £56,021 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance., This post is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
