Full Job Description

DETAILS: Survivor-led
You will carry out initial screening, complete safety planning, and provide ongoing emotional and practical support to victims/ survivors. Victims/survivors views and needs are the focus of the service, ensuring that their safety, wellbeing, and freedom sits at the core of all work that we do.

Child-centred
You will help to connect children and young people who have witnessed and experienced domestic abuse to the necessary emotional and therapeutic support.

Perpetrator-aware
You will make proactive contact with perpetrators of domestic abuse and use motivational interviewing to encourage them to address their abusive behaviours by accessing our in-house Spotlight Programme.

Role Context
Reach Out was set-up during the pandemic to help victims/survivors of domestic abuse to access interventions quickly, reducing delay and promoting safety. Building on its success, the service is being re-shaped and expanded to become the principal service for victims/survivors of domestic in Redbridge. In addition to screening, risk assessment and safety planning, the service will co-ordinate the support needs of victims/survivors and their family and ensure that all safeguarding issues are identified and addressed. As an Intervention Specialist, you will be an integral member of this service and play a pivotal role in supporting those impacted by domestic abuse across Redbridge.
